Section 7

Maneuverability impact

Consequences of the 90° conversion on turret rotation, vehicle stability and recoil management.

Turret

Structural reinforcement adds 50–150 kg → slight slowdown of existing motorized rotation (negligible, <2%).

Impact < 2%

Center of gravity

At 90°, the heavy cannon sits vertically above the turret → raised center of gravity, increased tip-over risk if the vehicle is moving or on sloped terrain.

Vehicle stationary, flat ground

Recoil

Vertically, recoil pushes the cannon downward into its own cradle — requires a reinforced stop and recalculated damping system: zero horizontal component, maximum vertical component on the chassis.

Reinforced stop required
